Information:

This exceptional lot was processed at the Ndurutu Washed Station, located in the heart of the Nyeri Central coffee district. Since its founding in 1999, the station has become a hub for over 527 local farmers, delivering their cherries from high-altitude farms growing traditional Kenyan varieties such as SL 28, Batian, Ruiru 11, and SL 24 in clayey volcanic soils.

The Ndurutu station is operated under the Rutuma Cooperative, with Joel Kariuki serving as president. Together with Jenniffer Murage (cherry reception and processing) and Patrik Maina (moisture station control), they ensure consistent quality and traceability throughout the coffee's journey. The final milling is done at the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Dry Mill, a reputable name in Kenyan coffee preparation.

This micro-lot underwent an innovative anaerobic fermentation method known as the “Natural Sleeping Bag” or OOTB Anaerobic, creating a clean, fruit-forward and lactic cup that is part of Martines' Constellations Range, named after the star "Subra".

Why Choose This Coffee?
If you're searching for a Kenyan coffee with intense fruit, wine-like acidity, and balanced sweetness, this lot is a rare gem. It's not just a cup — it's an expression of innovation, terroir, and precise processing led by an exceptional team in Nyeri.
