Information:

Founded in 1999, the Njuriga Washed Station brings together over 470 smallholder farmers in Nyeri County. Located at high altitudes with rich clayey volcanic soils, this station processes classic Kenyan varieties including SL 28, SL 24, Batian, and Ruiru 11.

The cooperative is uniquely led by Pauline Mumbi Karimi, supported by Maggi, who manages the station with infectious energy, and James Maina, in charge of the wet mill. Their teamwork drives innovation and quality at every step. Together, the Njuriga team experiments with advanced fermentation techniques, such as the Natural Sleeping Bag, Anaerobic Natural, and double fermentation methods.

Each batch is carefully fermented and dried, revealing complex and layered profiles – this one is vibrant, juicy, and sweet, with a long liqueur-like finish. It’s part of Martines’ Constellations Range, representing stars of excellence in flavor and origin.

Why Choose This Coffee?
A bold and elegant Kenyan coffee, this lot is a perfect expression of anaerobic natural processing done right. Ideal for espresso and filter, it offers deep sweetness, wine-like intensity, and a memorable hazelnut liqueur finish.
