This Rwanda specialty coffee is produced by Emmanuel Rusatira, founder of Baho Coffee, a key player in the development of high-quality Arabica coffee in Rwanda.

With over 15 years of experience in coffee sourcing, processing, and export, Emmanuel launched Baho Coffee in 2016 with a clear mission: to build washing stations across Rwanda and highlight the diverse flavor profiles of the country’s coffee regions.

Today, Baho Coffee operates 12 washing stations, ensuring full traceability, consistent quality, and controlled cherry processing. This results in clean, complex, and high-scoring specialty coffee beans that reflect the terroir of Rwanda.

The name “Baho” symbolizes life, strength, and resilience—values deeply connected to both Emmanuel’s journey and Rwanda’s coffee-growing communities.

Processing & Terroir – Muhazi Coffee Region

This lot is processed at Humure Washing Station, located in the Muhazi region (Gatsibo District)—one of the most important coffee-producing areas in Rwanda.

✔ Built in 2018 and upgraded with modern fermentation tanks and drying beds
✔ Located at 1,624 masl, with farms ranging from 1,550 to 1,835 masl
✔ Works with over 1,900 smallholder farmers
