Established in 1999, the Njuriga Washed Station serves over 470 smallholder coffee farmers in the high-altitude hills of Nyeri County, Kenya. The station processes classic Kenyan cultivars in clayey volcanic soils that enhance the density and character of the coffee.
The station is led by Pauline Mumbi Karimi, a pioneering woman in Kenyan coffee, supported by Maggi, who manages the facility with energy and commitment, and James Maina, responsible for the wet mill. Their united effort has created a hub for innovation, quality, and direct-trade traceability.
This lot was processed using a washed aerobic fermentation, allowing for a clean, vibrant, and floral flavor profile, with excellent structure and layered sweetness. Part of the Martines Constellations Range, this coffee is named after a celestial star, symbolizing its brilliance and elegance in the cup.
