Magic is our fusion lot of competition lots from Antioquia, Colombia,
and a good portion of Diego Bermudez's popular Red Plum. The result is a
heavenly mix of some of our best lots for maximum summer pleasure. This
coffee has a complex but easy going, sweet and expressive profile,
which complements perfectly with summer and fresh vibes. The process is
washed with advanced washing techniques which are used for almost the
entirety of the lots, as Diego's focus on industrial-style processing
prioritizes cleanliness and a controlled environment. The multiple
contributing lots comes from different farms which sit at an elevation
range of 1600 - 2000 m.a.s.l.
Diego Samuel Bermudez Tapia is the
visionary force behind Finca El Paraiso, a family project in Huila,
Colombia, dedicated to cultivating exceptional coffee. In 2008, fuelled
by a passion for addressing coffee industry challenges, Diego embarked
on a journey of innovation and technological integration. His scientific
approach and relentless commitment to excellence led to the development
of over 10 replicable post-harvest protocols, tailored to produce
distinct flavor profiles. The Antioquia Mágico competition was born out
of the need to promote the quality of coffee produced in Huila, a region
in the south of Colombia. But also, as an incentive for coffee
producers who have been working hard for many years to progress and
improve their production. In our lot Red Magic some of the highest
acclaimed lots from the competition blend together to bring a fusion of
excellence.
