Producer Story – Bethania Farm, Dipilto

Owned by the Albir family since 2007, Finca Bethania is located in the Dipilto municipality of Nueva Segovia, one of Nicaragua’s premier coffee-growing regions. Since inheriting the farm in 2013, Martha and Ana Albir—known as Hermanas Albir—have worked to modernize and evolve it, blending traditional coffee heritage with innovative sustainable practices.

In 2015, they began transitioning the farm with a focus on quality, environmental stewardship, and varietal experimentation. Today, in addition to Maracaturra, they are cultivating Java, Parainema, and other exotic varietals, showcasing their commitment to innovation and excellence in specialty coffee production.

This lot represents their dedication: a juicy, sweet, and vibrant coffee that reflects the passion and precision of two women who are helping shape the future of Nicaraguan coffee.

Why Choose This Coffee?

If you're searching for a sweet, complex, and approachable specialty coffee, this Maracaturra from Hermanas Albir offers a rare varietal and exceptional processing. Perfect for both espresso and filter, it delivers a balanced, fruity cup with honey-like sweetness and clean finish—a true gem from Nicaragua’s mountains.
